Volunteering

Each day Connecting Kids to Meals provides thousands of healthy meals at no cost to kids in low-income and underserved areas in Northwest Ohio. Our volunteers are key in making this process happen.

We have volunteers assist us in several key tasks around our Warehouse and at our Meal Site Locations. Tasks range from helping to load and unload vans, hours for High School Students looking for community service to graduate, to packing dinners for the kids we serve. Special events are frequently happening around CKM, and we enlist volunteers for these as well! These events include the Glass City Marathon, Hunger Action Month and many more.

Several business and community organizations have employees and individuals come to our downtown facility monthly to volunteer. These dedicated individuals play a vital role in our mission. These volunteers package plates, utensils, condiments, snacks and other items making distribution of a complete meal to our sites very efficient. Feedback from volunteers indicates that they really enjoy their time here. “It is so exciting to see the boxes/bags and coolers of food going out the door to those who need it most!”-M.H. “This is a great way to gather your team on a project that makes a positive impact!” -J.P.
